Since the days of Jesus and the Apostles, man has created various new “interpretations” of baptism. Different methods, different words, etc…
It can all seem a bit confusing. But in reality, it’s quite clear.
The Bible gives us specific instructions on how we are to be baptized. And that is, in the name of Jesus Christ! Because Jesus died for our sins, His NAME covers every sin, every mistake, and it is in Him that we find NEW LIFE!

Acts 2:38 “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
John 3:5 “Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”
Acts 10:48 “So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked Peter to stay with them for a few days.”
Ephesians 4:5-6 “One Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”
Colossians 2:12 “having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.”
Galatians 3:27 “for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.”
Luke 3:16 “John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:”
1 Peter 3:21 “And baptism, of which this is an image, now gives you salvation, not by washing clean the flesh, but by making you free from the sense of sin before God, through the coming again of Jesus Christ from the dead;”
Mark 16:16 “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.”
Romans 6:4 “We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.”

Acts 8:36-38 “And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Acts 22:16 “And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.”
John 1:32-33 “Then John gave this testimony: “I saw the Spirit come down from heaven as a dove and remain on him.
